How to clean the plated jewelry

Electroplated jewellery is inevitably dirty, and after a few days of exposure to dirt and grease in our lotions or perfumes, silver and gold-plated pieces begin to look dull. So giving them a proper cleaning is necessary. Cleaning gold-plated jewelry is actually very simple and does not require any special expensive materials. In fact, you may already have everything you need to restore the shine of your jewelry.

1. Wipe after each wear.

Just as you should use pearls, wipe the gold-plated jewelry after each wear.

2. Restore the light with a jewellery cloth.

If your gold-plated jewellery looks a bit dull, just wipe the surface with a soft jewel cloth to restore its luster.

3. If it is really dirty, you can make a water soap solution.

If you notice that the simple wiping or polishing does not remove the dirt, then it is time to really clean it up. Use a warm water and a mild soap to make a water soap solution.

4. Soak it in solution and clean it with a soft brush

This step is very simple. Soak the jewels in solution, use a soft brush and a gentle scrubbing action to wipe off the dirt and restore shine.
